Holy Father, in Jesus' name, meet with Your children in this moment. Grant us a holy encounter with Your presence, power, and glory that results in our lives being more surrendered to You. Help us to be still and know that You are God, to have our souls silenced in Your holy presence as we humble ourselves before You, the Majestic King. What a privilege it is to come boldly before the throne of Your grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in the time of need. We need You more than we can even imagine every moment and second of our lives. You are the source of our strength and the strength of our lives.
God, grant us wisdom to faithfully steward over all that You've entrusted to us. Help us to live these lives that You've given to us with an intentionality to glorify Your great name, to partner with You in the building of Your Kingdom, and to play our parts in Your will being done on earth as it is in heaven. Our lives and our times are in Your hands. Do not let us live haphazardly. Align our hearts and wills with Yours. Open up our ears to hear what You are saying and grant us obedient hearts to do what we hear You say. Jesus, open up our eyes to see You and Your activity in our lives, marriages, families, local churches, communities, cities, states, nations, and world. Help us to see people in this world the way that You do. Move us to partner with You in the role that You've assigned to each of us in engaging people with the good news of Jesus Christ.
God, we have allowed so many things to distract and sidetrack us from Christ and His mission. Bring strong conviction to us of our sinful ways that are contrary to Your nature, Your will, and Your Word. Show us our sin and produce a godly sorrow in our souls that leads us to truly repent. O Jesus, revive us again and use Your Church to bring another great spiritual awakening as we love You above all else, love one another as You have loved us, pray, preach Your Word, and bear witness of who You are to those who do not know You by the power of the Holy Spirit.
God, forgive us for condemning, criticizing, and demonizing those who You sent Jesus into the world to save. Forgive us for allowing earthly, secondary, and temporary issues to have more importance to us than Christ and His Kingdom. Forgive us for thinking that if we can get people on the right side of the issues in the world that we can make things better when there is absolutely no hope apart from Jesus. Forgive us for our failure to pray to You, the Lord of the harvest, for You to send laborers into the harvest field. Forgive us for not fully availing ourselves to You for You to use us to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
We realize that the evil one, satan, is doing everything that he can to try and deceive us through all the false information and lies going through the airwaves. Jesus, I am thankful that You are the Shepherd of Your sheep and that Your sheep (true followers of Christ) know Your voice and will not follow a stranger. Turn us back to Your Word and give us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church in this hour of human history. Raise up faithful preachers of the Word of God who have Your heart for Your flock to shepherd their souls as they partner with You, the Good Shepherd.
God, thank You that Your truth is greater than satan's lies, that Your life is greater than death, that Your light is greater than the darkness, and that Your Kingdom is greater than any and all other kingdoms and will rule over all for the rest of eternity. Jesus, You are the center of it all and everything truly does revolve around You. Help us to recognize You in Your rightful place as King of kings and Lord of lords and to denounce and repent of anything and anyone that we have lived like they were in Your place.
