God, grant me greater knowledge and understanding of who You are and Your will in these days in which I am living. Give me a heart for You above all else and fill my heart with Your love for people. Cause me to move with boldness and a sense of urgency to play the part that You have assigned me in partnership with You and others. Being honest, at times I feel like I am following You at a distance because I do not seem to care or pray for much of anything that is going on in the world. I am asking You to burden my heart with what You are calling me to engage and be involved in. Stir me to partner with You in prayer and lead me by Your Spirit to where You have called me to participate.
I can be overwhelmed just thinking about the cares, concerns, and details of my life and family. I am at an utter loss of what to do when my thoughts drift to what is going on with others who I personally know, those in my community, in my city, state, nation, and the world. My knowledge of what is happening barely scratches the surface. Yet You know all things fully and perfectly and You are moving everything towards the end that You declared from the beginning. Nothing that is happening in the world and in people's lives catches You off guard or takes You by surprise. None of it will block, hinder, stop, or thwart Your plans and purposes from being accomplished. May this grant me great confidence as I partner with You.
Give me greater vision for how You desire to use my life, marriage, family, ministry, and work in Your plans and purposes. At times, I can feel like I am just moving aimlessly from one thing to the next without any real rhyme or reason. Help me to move with intentionality in following You wherever You lead, to do whatever You want. Along the way grow me in my love for You and for people. Link my life with others who sincerely know and love You so that we may spur each other on towards love and good deeds while encouraging each other daily until the day Jesus returns for us.
Jesus, use me to declare Your power and glory to the next generation (beginning with my children). Anoint and send me to this young generation to preach to them the Word of God, the glorious, good news of who You are and what You have done. Use me to play a part in them being God chasers who live pure and holy lives in this crooked and depraved generation. I pray for great multitudes to come to You, be built up and equipped by God's Word, and be sent out in the power of the Spirit to take Your gospel to the nations. Prepare and equip me for the part that You've called me to in this and align me with others. Pour Your Spirit out like a tidal wave and cause Your glory to overwhelm these young people. Reveal Yourself to them in ways that they will not be able to deny, refuse, or resist You. Thank You for hearing and answering this prayer. In Your name I ask these things. Amen!!!
