Father, in Jesus' name, help me to quiet my soul in Your holy presence, to be still and know that You are God. For You are seated on Your holy throne and rule over the nations. Your Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom and Your dominion endures throughout all generations. You have set Your glory above the heavens and one day Your glory will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. You are the Sovereign King who is in absolute control over all of creation throughout the entirety of human history. You are the eternal God who is not bound or limited by time but who works out Your eternal purposes in time.
God, cause what You have planned and purposed for this time in human history to spring forth in the earth. I give myself away to You for You to use me for Your glory, to partner with You in the coming of Your Kingdom, and Your will being done on earth as it is in heaven. Forgive me for the things that I allow to distract me from You and Your mission. I confess that I am often anxious and burdened about the things happening in my life, family, and in the world. Give me the grace to cast my cares and burdens upon You for You care for me and will sustain me so that I am not moved. Help me, by the Spirit, to fix my eyes on Jesus. Help me to keep my mind stayed on Him as You keep me in perfect peace. Help me to trust You with all of my heart, to lean not to what I am able to understand, to acknowledge You in all things, as You direct my steps on Your righteous path.
Jesus, give me a desire for You that is greater than my desire for anyone or anything else (even my desire for You to use my life). Help me to surrender my life more fully to You and to walk in intimate fellowship with You. For You alone are truly more than enough for me. Help me to recognize that You are all that I really have in this life and every good and perfect gift comes from You. Bring me to the place where I not only recognize that You are all that I need but that You become all that I want. Take Your proper place on the throne of my heart. May any and all want to be rivals be utterly toppled and vanquished as I confess and repent of sin and renounce every idol and false god that I've bowed down to. For I choose to willingly bow myself before You, Jesus Christ, the One every knee will bow before and every tongue will confess is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
Jesus, bring me to the place where You truly have the supremacy in all things. Help me to daily come after You as I deny myself, take up my cross, and follow You wherever You lead me. Take out everything in me that is not from You, like You, and of You. Fill me to overflowing measure with Your Holy Spirit and set my heart ablaze with a passion for You so that others may have an encounter with You and hear Your words through my life and lips. For You are the One needed by all people and the only hope for the world - not me. In Jesus' name, Amen!!!
