Jesus, our lives and times are in Your hands. May the lyrics from Jaime Grace's song 'You lead' be the desire of our hearts. Help us to keep our minds stayed on You as You keep us in Your perfect peace. Lord, help us to trust You with all our hearts, to lean not to our own understanding, in all our ways to acknowledge You as You direct our paths.
God, cause us to walk in intimate fellowship with You more and more each and every moment such that our steps are ordered by You and You delight in our ways. Our steps are ordered by the Lord. How then can we possibly understand our own way? Many are the plans in our hearts yet it is Your purpose, Lord, that will prevail. Please open our ears to hear Your voice, grant us tender and obedient hearts to You so that we will walk in Your way not turning from it to the left or to the right.
God, in this world filled with chaos, death, division, injustice, violence, and war, we do not know what to do, but our eyes are on You, the Sovereign Lord. We do not have to fear for You are with us. God, do not allow us to head down paths where Your presence has not gone before us to prepare the way. Please send Your presence before us and manifest Your power and glory in and through our lives. Help us to patiently wait on You while doing all that You are empowering us and leading us to do. May we walk in step with You not running ahead or lagging behind. We need to hear from You as You align our hearts with Yours and with one another. May we, Your people, live out the unity of Christ in our manifold diversity loving one another as You, Jesus, have loved us that the world may know that we follow You.
Jesus, we are often distracted from You and Your mission by temporary circumstances and needs of this life. Please forgive us for this. You are more than sufficient for every circumstance that we face. Help us to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness and as we do may we rest in the promise of You giving everything that we need in this life and on into eternity. O God fill us with Your Holy Spirit and use each of us to play the part You've given to us of making disciples of all nations through the gospel of Jesus Christ. Help us to daily live in response to You and for Your glory and not as a reaction to what is happening in our lives and in the world. We pray that Your Kingdom comes and will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus' name. Amen!!!
