Seeking Divine Guidance and Surrendering to God's Will - Prayer Journal 259

Father, in Jesus' name, I ask for forgiveness for once more giving in to my fleshly desires with food and drink and not managing the financial resources You've entrusted to me wisely. Help me learn to truly pray and connect with You consistently throughout my day. I often live as if I'm on autopilot, rather than engaging in a dynamic relationship with You that influences every part of my life.

I possess an intellectual understanding of You that frequently has minimal influence on my daily life. I verbally recognize You as King, but my heart is often more distant from You than I care to admit. I pretend to be humble in front of others with my words, yet deep down, I desire things to revolve around me. Internally, I take credit for what should solely bring glory to You.

Lord Jesus, I am in urgent need of You and am unable to accomplish anything without Your presence. I find myself resembling Peter before You permitted Satan to test him. Do whatever is necessary to lead me to the point where I willingly and joyfully give everything to You. You are the foundation of my strength and the power behind my life. Without You, I am nothing and cannot achieve anything of eternal value, bring You glory, advance Your Kingdom, or fulfill Your will.

I am uncertain about my actions and unsure of what steps to take. Please reveal Your actions to me so that I can join You as You empower me through Your Holy Spirit. You are the omniscient, omnipotent, all-wise, and self-sufficient One. I request that You grant me understanding of You and Your will. Help me understand that I cannot achieve it without Your assistance. It is not by my strength or power, but by Your Spirit.

Come Holy Spirit! I need a fresh filling and encounter with Your manifest presence. Assist me in surrendering full control of my life to You. Lord Jesus, take Your rightful place on the throne of my heart. Guide me to offer myself to You so that You can use me for Your glory. Help me to exalt You, viewing myself in relation to You as I humble myself before You.

Let my focus be solely on Jesus, ensuring that He holds the highest place in my heart, life, marriage, family, and ministry. Guide me to live from the abundance of a deep relationship with You. Reveal to me anything in my life that hinders this reality. Expose my sins: those I commit intentionally, those that are hidden, those I assume are acceptable, and those I repeat. Have Your way in my life and may Your will prevail. In Jesus' name, Amen!
