God Help Me to Give You Everything! - Prayer Journal 274

Father, in the name of Jesus, I honor and exalt You. There is none like You; no one can even begin to compare to You. You are magnificent and all-powerful. You are perfectly wonderful. You are the Sovereign of the Universe, the Maker of the heavens and the earth. You are truly great and deserve immense praise. Your greatness is beyond understanding. You are magnificent. Your majesty and splendor surpass human understanding. You are the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Most High God.

You have placed Your glory above the heavens, and You lower Yourself to observe the heavens and the earth. You are beyond understanding, unfathomable, indescribable, uncontainable, infinite, eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, the Savior of the world, the hope of nations, the one true and living God. I am amazed by the fact that You have allowed me to be in Your holy presence and enjoy a close relationship with You. Yet, unfortunately, I often choose far lesser things to invest the time, talents, and resources that You have given me.

Please forgive me for the grievous sin of idolatry, as I have worshipped other, lesser things as if they were You, God. Why do You show me such kindness, love, and patience? Why have You not abandoned me but instead allowed me to live with You, not only in this life but for all eternity? God, I am lost and unsure of my actions or the path I should take.

Lord Jesus, guide me to recognize Your actions and hear Your voice amidst the world's distractions. Help me follow Your example of obedience to the Father, prioritizing Your will over my own desires. Empty me of self-centeredness. Move my heart to admit and abandon sin so I can experience Your mercy. Instill in me a genuine sorrow that leads to repentance and sanctifies my soul. Assist me in resisting fleshly desires and walking in the Spirit.

O God, renew me with Your Holy Spirit! Instill in me a longing for You that surpasses my desire for anyone or anything else. Guide me to live for You, love You, and serve You wholeheartedly. Help me to honor and respect You, my God and King. Forgive me for the actions that have offended Your holiness and hurt Your heart.

I am deeply thankful for Your mercies, which are renewed each morning. You recognize that my existence is fleeting, like grass, and my glory is like a flower in the field that soon fades. Yet, You have allowed me to partake in Your divine nature and share in Your everlasting glory. Though I am made slightly lower than the angels, in Christ, You have crowned me with glory and honor beyond their understanding.

I want to give You more than words. Help me to give You my life as I walk in obedience to Your Word and am guided by Your Spirit. I need You more desperately than I know every moment of my life. Help me to stop fluctuating between depending on myself and then depending on You.

Release me from holding back and not giving You my all. I desire to experience a deep intimacy with You, alongside Your power and authority, by offering only a portion of myself. Lead me to a place, as Cece Winans sings, where with complete sincerity, 'I'll give You more than this, not just a little, not just a part of me.' Assist me in surrendering everything at Your feet, offering my entire life. You are worthy of it all! In Jesus' name, Amen!
