Father, in Jesus' name, thank You for Your presence with me every single step along this journey that You have led me on. You've planned every one of my days before one of them came to be. Before You knit me together in my mother's womb, You had purpose for my life. There is nothing that I have every thought, said, or done or nothing that I will think, say, or do that is a surprise to You. You were with me, protecting me, watching over me, and providing for me even when I was not thinking about You nor had a desire to live for You.
Thank You for not allowing me to die in my sin before I came to know You, the Only true God, and Jesus Christ who You sent into the world. Now I have eternal life and can live out the purpose You have for my life. When I was enjoying and running headlong into this world of sin with everything that I had, Your love was chasing me down. Not only did You catch me, but Your love has also overtaken my life. I cannot escape Your love. There is absolutely nothing in all creation that shall ever separate me from Your love in Christ Jesus. Your presence surrounds me. You have brought me in, and I never want to leave. Even if I did, where else can I go? For only You, Jesus, have the words of eternal life.
Jesus, teach me how to rest in You. Help me to daily take time to do nothing except sit in Your presence. Strengthen me as I take refuge in You my strong tower. Give me fresh encounters with You that will cause me to continue to be in hot pursuit of You until I am fully in Your presence when You return to make everything new. Amen!!!
