God, You Are Sovereign and Desire an Eternal Relationship with Us - Prayer Journal 267

Father, You are unwavering and steadfast. I am unpredictable and changeable like the weather. You are the LORD our God, unchanging. Jesus Christ remains the same yesterday, today, and forever. You are the Sovereign King, seated on Your throne. You do not respond to the events of the world. You are the One who determines the end from the beginning. You declare something, and it is established. You speak, and what You say comes to pass.

There is nothing that has occurred, is occurring, or will occur that You have not initiated or permitted. You initiated the beginning and will conclude things as we know them. You are eternal, existing from eternity past to eternity future. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. You are the One who was, is, and will be.

You are the Maker of everything and the One who sustains all. You are the eternal God, the Creator of the earth's farthest reaches. You govern over nations and measure the universe with Your hand. The heavens, even the highest ones, cannot contain You. Your glory is set above the heavens, and You gaze down upon the heavens and the earth. You are enthroned above the earth's circle, and its people appear like grasshoppers to You.

You are unparalleled, distinct, entirely apart from all that You have created, and infinitely above it. In essence, You are holy! There is none like You and no other besides You. You alone are God, and You are God alone. You dwell in unapproachable light. Yet, through the shed blood of Jesus, You have made it possible for me to confidently enter Your magnificent presence.

You have not only granted me an audience with You but have also adopted me and others into Your eternal and royal family. You are my Father—our Father! Your Spirit confirms this truth to me. You created and redeemed me to enjoy an everlasting relationship with You, the triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Help me not to abandon or overlook this for the fleeting pleasures of this world, the unsatisfying desires of the flesh, and the deceptive lies of the evil one.

You alone can truly satisfy me. Let me draw deeply from the wells of salvation and dine at Your table under the banner of Your love. I am Your beloved child and Your servant. I was brought into this world and reborn by the Spirit with intention and for a purpose. I do not have the option to decide how to use this life You have given me. You do not seek my opinions or thoughts. I am called to submit to the Lordship of Jesus, follow the Holy Spirit, obey Your Word, and align with Your will.

Jesus, refresh me with Your presence, revive me with Your Spirit, renew my mind with Your Word, and restore my soul. I love You, Lord; You are my strength. Without You, I can do nothing. Empower me with Your Spirit within, so You may continue to reside in me through faith. Live Your resurrected life in me, allowing others to experience, hear, and see You through me. Amen!
