Lord, I Desperately Need You: Prayer for Trust and Service (Prayer Blog 293)

Father, I recognize that on my own, I have nothing to offer the people around me or those You will send me to. I am fully aware of my deep need for You. Without the belief that You are with me and will work through me, I would give up and not continue. Help me to keep moving forward in faith, with my eyes focused on Jesus.

No one needs me or my words, but everyone needs You and Your Words. Help me to ensure that I do not obstruct the view of You. It's true that I am inadequate and incompetent, but that is not what truly matters. For Jesus, You possess unlimited capacity, knowledge, power, resources, understanding, and wisdom. Everything I need for what You have called me to do is found in You. You are all that I need.

Please forgive me for my doubts and lack of trust in You. Forgive me for comparing myself to others and competing with them in my mind, which leads me to feel either superior or inferior. Help me to focus on You, remembering You are God, and that I am equal to others created in Your image and redeemed by Jesus.

Lord Jesus, You must grow greater while I become less. Show Your presence, pour out Your Spirit, speak Your Words, and reveal Yourself through this life You have granted me. Though being Your ambassador seems impossible, You have chosen, called, and anointed me to represent You in the world. Nothing is too difficult or impossible for You, and You are within me and with me.

Thank you for leading me to a place where, without You, I know I would falter. Here, I ask to once more see and experience Your presence. Let me encounter You and use me to help others do the same, as You send me to them. Just as the angel of the Lord was present in the burning bush witnessed by Moses, so is Your Holy Spirit within me.

Let my life ignite with passion for You as You remove everything within me that doesn't reflect You. Let me shine brightly for those You send me to. I pray that You capture their attention and inspire them to take a closer look at You and Your work in my life. May we acknowledge that the Lord is present here and that we stand on holy ground. Consequently, may we humble ourselves before Your Majestic Presence.

Lord, speak through my lips and ready us to follow Your guidance by acting on Your words. I pray that some will find salvation by placing their faith in Jesus for the first time, that others will experience healing and deliverance, that some will start embracing the destiny You have set for them, and that others will repent and be revived. Accomplish what only You can and use me as I offer myself to You. I love You, Lord, because You loved me first. In Jesus' name, Amen!
