Transform My Heart and Make Me A Passionate Pursuer of God (Prayer Blog 301)

Father more often than I would like to admit; I resemble a modern-day Pharisee. My words speak of You, yet my heart is distant, prioritizing what matters to people. This should never be, as You are always deserving of my whole life. Forgive me for the times I judge others' intentions and motives, assuming mine are pure. In reality, I am not in a position to assess myself or others accurately. I understand and perceive very little, and even what I do see is not from Your pure and righteous perspective.

If I'm being truthful, I sometimes behave as though You owe me something. In reality, You owe me nothing, and You gave me everything when You gave Jesus. My life is Yours because You redeemed me through Jesus' blood. Forgive me for holding back what is rightfully Yours—my entire self. Lead me to the point where all I desire is You. Shift my focus from seeking what You can provide to seeking You alone.

I focus too much on my reputation with others rather than living a genuine life of integrity before Your all-seeing eyes. Free me from the need to seek approval from people and prioritize pleasing them over my reverence and desire to please You. I get caught up in my surroundings, my company, my actions, my emotions, and the reasons behind everything, instead of dedicating my life to You - my Audience of One. My significance comes from being in Christ and Christ living in me. Help me become like Him and understand that everything else is insignificant.

In every moment of my life guide me to find joy in You, to passionately pursue You, and to love You with everything I am and have. Meet me at this place and guide my heart away from worldly distractions, directing it completely towards You. Transform me into a person wholly dedicated to You. Rekindle the passion in my heart for You until my entire existence is enveloped by Your fiery presence. Remove everything from my heart and life that is not from You, like You, or of You. Imprint Christ within me and let my entire life become a blazing fire for You. In Jesus' name, Amen!!!
