God Help Me to Be a Faithful and Wise Servant - Prayer Journal 239

Father, in Jesus' name, I bless and praise You my God and King. You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth. You are the Sovereign Lord in total and complete control over all that you have made. Everything that You made belongs to You and You made absolutely everything that exists. You own all things and Your Kingdom rules over all.

Help me to see myself as a servant who has been entrusted to be faithful with what belongs to You. I own nothing. My life is not my own for You have purchased me with the shed blood of Jesus. Forgive me for so often thinking that You give me the freedom to use what You've entrusted to me as I see fit.

Forgive me for looking at others and comparing myself with them rather than looking at You and living in obedience to Your Word. How others choose to live should have no impact on the choices that I make. Forgive me for not being faithful in little things and with what belongs to another. Help me to repent and to walk in Your ways.

If You choose to increase what You've entrusted to me then please help me to use it all for Your Kingdom purposes and glory. Please help me not take what You've given and consume it on my fleshly desires. Drain the love of this world from my heart and fill my heart to overflowing measure with Your love. Do not let me just read what Your Word says about being a wise and faithful servant but to do it.

Help me to first give myself to You. I thank You for being in control and for faithfully providing all of my needs according to Your glorious riches in Christ. Help me to cast down worldly ideas and thoughts about money and possessions that exalt themselves above the knowledge of God and to take every thought captive to obey Christ. Grant me wisdom, resources, and insight to use everything for the reason that You've entrusted it to me.

All that I have is Yours. Break me from the thought that anything is mine. I am Your bondservant. Let it be done unto me according to Your Word. I do not get to choose what I want to do, where I live, and how I serve. You caused me to be birthed into the earth for a time such as this on purpose and for a purpose.

Forgive me for allowing the enemy to daily distract me from You. There is nothing more precious or important than spending time in Your presence and hearing Your Word. If Your presence does not go before me then do not let me move from here. If I do not hear Your voice, then I do not know what to do. Help me to consecrate the entirety of this life to You. I love You Lord and thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Help me to draw near to You as You draw near to me. In Jesus' name, Amen!!!
