Father, in Jesus' name, I bless and praise You my God and my King. There is no one like You. None that infinitely comes close. You are God alone and You alone are God. At the beginning of a new year, thank You for manifesting Your presence, pouring out Your Spirit, loosing Your Word, and revealing Jesus to me in new and fresh ways. I am Your dearly loved son and Your humble servant reporting for duty. Work Your love to, in, and through my heart such that my duty flows out of a heart that is fully committed to You. May I be one who Your searching eyes are looking for in the earth.
God, bring me to the place where my mind and heart are saturated with Your Word as You order my steps in Your way. I am not my own. I belong to You as You have purchased me with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. My body is a temple of Your Holy Spirit. Fill me to overflowing measure with the Holy Spirit so that the very life of Jesus will be lived through me with power and great glory. Jesus, You must increase and I must decrease. As that happens more and more, I ask You to manifest Your presence, reveal Yourself, and speak through my lips. Cause Your Word to be like fire shut up in my bones that even when I want to hold it in, I am not able to.
Thank You Father for Your pruning work in my heart and life for the purpose of me bearing even more fruit as I continue to abide in Jesus, the true vine. Thank You for not allowing me to be tempted more than I am able to bear. You are faithful and You always devise a way of escape for me to stand up under every temptation. I am so grateful for Your grace. The grace that saves me, that gives me the power to say no to ungodliness, and that is sufficient for me to live for You regardless of whatever is happening in my life and in the world. Your strength is truly made perfect in my weakness. It is absolutely true that apart from You I can do nothing. But it is also true that I can do everything that You've called me to accomplish through Christ who strengthens me.
Lord Jesus, I am strong in You and in the power of Your might. Help me stay girded up in the full armor of God so that I may stand against all the schemes and wiles of the evil one. I am so thankful that the One who is in me is greater than the one who is in the world. Thank You, Jesus, that You were manifested to destroy the works of the devil. Loose, untie, and send me to carry Your presence to those that You have appointed me to minister to so that the devil's works may be destroyed in their lives. Prepare the hearts of those that You will send me to this year. Take out stony hearts and replace them with hearts of flesh. Plow through fallow hearts and make them fertile soil ready to receive Your Word. Anoint and use me to plant and water Your Word in these hearts as You bring a harvest of righteousness and salvation in their lives. Amen!!!
