Father, in Jesus' name, I bless and praise You my God, my King, and my Lord. You are the God of gods, the King of kings, and the Lord of lords. You are the one and only true and living God. Besides You there are no others. You are awesome and almighty. You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth, things visible and invisible. Everything that You have made is infinitely inferior to You. For there is nothing that exists without You. You are the self-existing One who brought everything that exists into existence.
God, though You are the Creator of all things, You are not the author of evil. For some reason, You chose and gave certain of Your creatures, angels and humans, free will. Lucifer, an anointed guardian cherub, became proud in his heart on account of his beauty and splendor and began to desire for himself honor and glory that belong to You alone. Lucifer, along with one third of the angels, was thrown down from heaven for attempting to overthrow Your rule and his name would be changed to satan. satan, through the serpent, entered the Garden of Eden deceived and enticed the first couple, Adam and Eve, to eat the fruit from the tree that You had forbidden. In doing so a choice was made to disobey Your direct command and rebel against Your authority. Through this sin entered in and evil was unleashed into the world.
Nothing that has happened throughout history has caught You off guard or taken You by surprise and neither did it, or will it, block, hinder, or stop the end that You have ordained from before the beginning. In Your sovereignty, evil does not circumvent Your eternal purpose. You even use it to fulfill it. Even the most wicked deeds of men under the influence of satan, like the condemning and putting to death of Jesus on a Roman cross, brought to pass what You predestined to happen before the creation of the world. Thank You Jesus that through Your death (and resurrection) You were destroying the works of the devil (sin) and making the forgiveness of sin and eternal life available to all people who place their faith in You. Just as You accomplished this so will You, Jesus, return to completely do away with evil as You hand over the Kingdom to God the Father.
Hallelujah! God, You reign even in the midst of the evil that is so prevalent in our world. It does not matter how bleak the circumstances, how dark the days, how hopeless it seems - Your name will be honored as holy, Your Kingdom will come, and Your will will be done on earth as it is in heaven no matter what. In the midst of hardships, difficulties, and trials help Your children to trust that You are present with us and fulfilling Your purpose in the earth even using us to prepare the way for the return of King Jesus. Amen!!!
