Holy Father, in Jesus name, we bless and praise You our God and King. You are our Rock in this weary land and our shelter in the time of storm. Your name is a strong tower that the righteous run to in the time of trouble and are safe. You are our refuge and protector. You are our hiding place.
God we recognize that this world does not need us but only Jesus. Jesus, You are the Savior of the world and there is salvation in no one else. Yours is the only name given unto men under heaven whereby men must be saved. You left from the glory that You shared with the Father in heaven, laid down Your divine privilege, took the form of a servant, came in the likeness of man, and was perfectly obedient to the Father to the point of death on the cross for the sins of the world. Because this is true, You have been given a name above all names and a day is coming when every knee will bow to You and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
God, help us to put the deeds of this flesh to death and to walk in the Spirit. Show us the thoughts in our minds; feelings, intentions, and motives in our hearts; the words from our mouths; the actions of our hands; and the travels of our feet that are sinful and do not honor You. Those things that grieve Your Holy Spirit cause them to grieve our hearts. Produce a godly sorrow in our souls that lead us to repentance.
Jesus, I ask You to burden our hearts with what burdens Yours. Break ours heart with what breaks Yours. Help us to love what You love and to hate what You hate. Stir up our hearts and affection for You so much so that we only do what we see You do and say what we hear You say. Form Christ more and more in our hearts and conform us more and more into the image of Christ.
Jesus, fill us with Your Spirit, manifest Your presence and use our lives to carry Your Word and presence to others. You are who others (and we) need so we ask that You'd grant us daily a greater dependence upon You and a greater confidence that You are with us empowering us to take Your gospel to others. Grant us encounters with You that will cause Your glory, presence, power, and anointing to rest upon us like a mantle. Jesus, live Your resurrected life in and through us. Grant us boldness and great insight to live this new life to glorify You the Lord our God.
God, send Your holy presence before us. As we are asking You to do a work in our hearts that You'd be at work in the hearts of those that You are sending us to. Remove the blinders of the evil one from their minds, lift the veil of sin that has darkened their hearts, and cause the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, to shine in their hearts. Bring conviction to them of their guilt concerning sin, righteousness, and judgement and convince them of their desperate need for You and Your salvation. Open their eyes to see Your love, the love You demonstrated towards us in this that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. Be at work by Your Spirit revealing Jesus and drawing great multitudes to Him.
God, make us a people who are not ashamed of the gospel for we know that it is the power of God unto salvation for all who believe. May we look to You and You only and believe You to use us to influence those in the world instead of us being influenced by the world. Revive Your people and use us by Your powerful presence in and upon us to bring a spiritual awakening that will once again put the fear of God into the hearts of men. God, bring this nation to the place where there is a high regard, reverence, and honor for You the living God that will cause true righteousness and justice to spring forth in the earth.
