Glorifying God Through Our Lives and Ministry - Prayer Journal 260

Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, I honor and praise You, my God and King. I pray that You glorify Your name on earth through Your children. I also ask that You glorify Your name through the life, marriage, family, and ministry You have entrusted to me. It is incredible to consider that You, the self-sufficient One, who needs nothing and no one, would choose to partner and have a relationship with those who have disobeyed and rebelled against You.

Thank You for selecting a people in Christ before the world's creation. Our salvation was not an afterthought or a reaction to our fallen state, as Jesus was the Lamb slain from the world's foundation. Thank You for designating a time to send Jesus, the eternal Son who shared glory with You, into the world to free people from Satan's captivity and the bondage of sin.

The vastness of the highest heavens cannot contain Your glory. Yet, I am in awe that the fullness of Your deity was embodied in Christ. I am thankful for the following: the virgin birth of Jesus; His incarnation (God with us - Emmanuel); His sinless life of perfect obedience, even unto death; His crucifixion for the sins of the world; His removal of our sins; His resurrection; His sending of the Spirit; His building up and intercession for the Church from heaven; His preparation of a place for us to be with Him forever; and His imminent return when He will renew all things. Fill my heart with praise and gratitude as I reflect on who You are and what You've accomplished. Help me to rejoice in the great salvation You have provided and the eternal relationship I have with You.

You are the Sovereign Lord with ultimate authority, and You have entrusted us with Your authority on earth. You are holy and have set us apart to reflect and represent You in this world. Guide us to trust in You, to revere You, to follow You, and to be holy as You, the Lord our God, are holy. Use us to collaborate with You in the coming of Your Kingdom as we strive to be worthy of it. Empower us to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. Help us to live in accordance with Your revealed will in Your Word and to fulfill the specific purposes You have for us.

Pour out Your Spirit upon us and instill in us a singular desire for You as You empty our hearts of all worldly desires. Release Your Word to us, allowing it to take deep root in our hearts and produce abundant fruit in our lives. Reveal Jesus to us in a way that is undeniable, irresistible, and irrefutable. Ignite our hearts with Your holy fire and let our lives shine brightly before those You place in our path. Manifest Your presence, let Your Spirit overflow, speak Your Words, and reveal Jesus through our actions. Guide us to dedicate ourselves to You so that You may accomplish great things among us. Glorify Your name through us, ensuring that no flesh boasts in Your presence. In Jesus' name, Amen!
