God Help Me to Prioritize the Eternal - Prayer Journal 247

O God, please help me recognize my sinfulness in how I poorly manage the time You have entrusted to me. You've provided me with time to be with You and fulfill Your purposes, yet I squander it by focusing on worldly distractions that hold no significance in the face of eternity. Through Your Spirit, instill a godly sorrow in my soul for my sins. Let my heart be troubled by what grieves Your Spirit.

Throughout my days, there are numerous instances where I follow my own desires instead of being guided by Your Spirit. Many moments are squandered on worldly entertainment rather than living by the principles of Your Word. I spend too much time heeding the enemy's lies and aligning with him instead of listening to Your voice and obeying Your truth. Father, forgive me and help me to repent.

Time passes quickly, yet eternity endures forever. Too frequently, I use the time, money, talents, and opportunities You provide on things that are temporary instead of those that will last eternally. Grant me spiritual discernment, wisdom, and a longing for You above everything else. Lead me to a point where I am certain that You surpass all others infinitely. There is nothing that compares to You, nothing that even comes close.

God, You are holy and dwell in unapproachable light. However, through the shed blood of Jesus, You have made it possible for me to enter Your holy presence. Now, help me to see myself as I am in Christ: holy, accepted, approved, beloved, the righteousness of God, Your masterpiece, the apple of Your eye. Prompt me to acknowledge my sins to You and others, allowing me to walk in the light as You are in the Light. Guide me to humble myself before You so that I may receive the riches of Your mercy and experience Your amazing grace.

Help me to live authentically before You and others, rather than pretending to have it all together. As I receive Your mercy, guide me to extend it freely to others. Forgive me for judging others in my heart as I come to realize my own deep need for You and the truth that Jesus came not to condemn, but to save us. Use me to guide others to Jesus so they can experience the mercies of God.

Redirect my heart and the hearts of all Your children away from worldly distractions and idols, and guide them towards You, the one true and living God. May we long for You, the Source of Life, more than the role You have assigned us in Your Kingdom. You welcomed us into Your family as Your children, not as employees. As Your children, we have the honor of working alongside You in the family business. May we be faithful stewards as You guide us to expand the family business across the world.
