Only Jesus Can Truly Satisfy! - Prayer Journal 275

Father, in Jesus' name, I am grateful for You guiding me through another day. Your unwavering faithfulness and enduring love have been clearly visible to me. You have demonstrated Your goodness and bestowed Your grace upon my life. You have created and redeemed me to know and delight in You now and for eternity.

You created human beings so that we would understand our value and worth in You, rather than from our actions and the things that we accumulate. However, I often hear people expressing dissatisfaction with their work more than their longing to know You better. Unfortunately, I also find myself complaining because my tasks are different from or not what I expected. This occurs even in roles and places where I believe You have guided me. At times, I even consider leaving because it doesn't seem 'ideal'. Please keep me where You have placed me until I hear from You and You close the door.

What my soul truly longs for is to be with You and to fully experience Your presence. Nothing else satisfies—I only want You. I'm weary of removing myself from the Potter's wheel because I dislike how You are molding and shaping my life. I don't want to keep interrupting the process of You sanctifying me, as You transform me to become more like Jesus each day.

Help me remain where You have placed me and not conceal the light You have given me. Enable me to flourish where You have planted me. I cannot and will not find fulfillment in any place, position, role, or possessions. True satisfaction is found only in Jesus. Teach me the secret of contentment in my current circumstances. No situation or possession in my life, whether it comes or goes, can satisfy the deep longings of my soul. Only by trusting, waiting, and resting in Jesus—His completed work on the cross and His presence within me through the Spirit—can I find true contentment.

Assist me in completely surrendering to You. I am exhausted from the inner struggle with You. I will not release my hold until You bless me. Free me from attempting to control situations in search of fulfillment. You do not require anything from me. What is astonishing is that You desire me and wish to involve me in Your eternal purpose. I offer myself to You. Use my life to honor Your holy name as You guide my heart entirely towards You. In Jesus' name, Amen!
