Transform Me to Give You Thanks and Live Wisely - Prayer Journal 263

Father, in Jesus' name, I approach You with anxious heart, seeking Your calming presence and peace. Guide me to concentrate on You rather than my list of tasks. I am aware that I can accomplish nothing without You. Lead me to a point where I don't even wish to attempt anything on my own. Let my heart's only true desire be You. I need You to work within my soul, transforming me from the inside out.

God, I recognize that I am overly concerned with others' opinions of me. I feel the need to excel to gain acceptance and approval from people. However, the truth is I am already accepted and approved by You in Christ. Help me let go of my desire to please others and lead me to a place where my sole desire is to please You.

I've often focused on complaining rather than being thankful. I've taken more than I've given. I frequently discuss my dislikes without taking action to change my situation. My actions have been guided by my emotions more than by Your Word and Spirit. You have placed me where I am; help me to fully surrender to You here instead of merely waiting for You to relocate me.

How much time and how many opportunities have I squandered by complaining and taking no action? Guide me to value my days and to focus my heart on wisdom. Assist me in being a wise and faithful steward of everything You've entrusted to me, so that I can collaborate with You in Your eternal purpose. I belong here because You have placed me here. You are present to empower me to achieve all that You've called me to do.

Nothing is too difficult or impossible for You. While I have limitations, You are boundless. I am weak, but You are powerful. I lack knowledge, but You are all-knowing. I am in great need of You, yet You are self-sufficient. Please open my ears to hear You, my eyes to see You, my mind to comprehend You, and my heart to accept all that You offer me.

In the story of Jesus healing the ten lepers, remind me of who You are and what You have done for me so that I may understand You and Your great salvation. Let genuine gratitude fill my heart and guide me to return to You, giving You the glory, honor, and praise that only You deserve. You accomplished what You did so that I might enjoy a close relationship with You now, with an ever-growing intensity into eternity. Empower me in living for Jesus openly, without apology, hesitation, reservation, or compromise. Guide me to a deeper commitment so that I offer You not only acts of service but my entire self. In Jesus' name, Amen!!!
