(God) You are the one true, living God and the King of kings. There is no one like You, none can compare to You. You are awe-inspiring and all-powerful. Nothing is too difficult or impossible for You. ... Bestow upon me spiritual insight and strength through Your Spirit to triumph over the enemy's power. Lord, You have empowered me through Your strength and might.

Father, today I wasted time on worldly entertainment, judged others in my heart, and missed opportunities to glorify Your name. I have become involved in civilian affairs rather than focusing on the King's business. I have misunderstood You, squandered and concealed Your gifts, offered excuses, and neglected to utilize everything You've provided for the purposes of Your Kingdom and Your glory.

Angels proclaimed your birth, not to the wealthy and powerful, but to humble shepherds watching over their flocks at night. These shepherds were granted the honor of being among the first to see the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world. Despite being social outcasts whose testimony wasn't accepted in court, they were the initial witnesses of You, the Christ child, who would bring joy to the world, peace on earth, and goodwill towards humanity.

In these politically polarizing days, help us not to put our trust in governmental leaders... Give us wisdom... to make Jesus... the issue.

Father, I bless and praise You for being the Sovereign King who reigns in the midst of the chaos of this world.

You are in total control over all that happens throughout Your creation... Everything is sifted through Your just and loving hands.

Jesus, I avail myself to You for intimacy with You and partnership in Your Kingdom purposes.

You are the foundation of my life, and You will never be moved... You will indeed bring to completion what You have begun in me.

The Church has been lulled to sleep thinking that our power comes from politics when Your Kingdom, Jesus, is not of this world.
