Every day, I openly engage in spiritual adultery and idolatry right in front of You, without concern. You are aware of everything, as nothing is hidden from You. I indulge in sin and find amusement in it, fully aware that You are observing. I would never behave this way in front of my wife, kids, or others, yet I do it repeatedly before You, the Lover of my soul, often disregarding how my thoughts, attitudes, and actions wound Your heart. Lord Jesus, I am in urgent need of You and am unable to accomplish anything without Your presence. I find myself resembling Peter before You permitted Satan to test him. Do whatever is necessary to lead me to the point where I willingly and joyfully give everything to You. You are the foundation of my strength and the power behind my life. Without You, I am nothing and cannot achieve anything of eternal value, bring You glory, advance Your Kingdom, or fulfill Your will.

I cannot continue living for myself if I want to experience more of Jesus' life. It must be either less of me and more of You, or more of me and less of You. Jesus, guide me as I deny myself, take up my cross, and follow You wherever You lead. My life isn't mine; I belong to You, as You have bought me at a great cost with Your precious blood.

There are too many things that rob me of intimacy with You and service to You, my King... God capture my heart and set it ablaze with a passion for You... Cause Your holy fire to consume my life where I burn with ever increasing flames without burning up... Help me to walk in intimate fellowship with You and to live out of the overflow of that.
