God, drain my heart of selfish ambition and vain conceit as You fill it with a desire to please You and bring You glory in everything.

God, You are the source of my strength & You are the strength of my life... Help me to trust You to fulfill Your purpose in and through me.

God, things of this world distract me from and leave me doubting You. Bring me to the place where my greatest desire is to know Christ.

Elijah was a man mightily used by God. Yet there was a time when his faith faltered. He is like me in this, that he desperately needed God.

Thank You for the good work that You have begun in me that You will complete on the day of Jesus Christ.

Jesus, I so often live by how I feel ... and what I think that I can do. Instead of living by faith in You the only wise God our Savior.

Jesus, I do not know what to do and do not have the strength to do anything apart from You. I need You. Help me give myself to You.

We find our hearts drifting from You. We can't will ourselves out of the rut. We can't get our wheels unstuck from the mud of this world.

God, if You do not humble me before You, grant me an undivided heart, and teach me to fear You then I'm afraid I'll disgrace You & fall away
