As I wrestle with You, Lord, grant me the strength to hold on until You bless me. Break me until I fully surrender to You. It is through brokenness that I truly come to understand and experience Your abundant and sufficient grace. You are all I need.

Forgive me for letting my uncertainties about Your purpose for my life divert my focus from You. You are active around, within, and through my life in ways I may not even recognize. Help me to trust You no matter my feelings and despite the deceitful whispers of the enemy.

You are the Fountain of ever flowing and everlasting water. So why do I turn to broken cisterns and polluted wells so often? You have liberated me. Help me to run in Your freedom. Jesus, You who shared glory with the Father before the world's creation, entered this sinful world, faced blasphemy, mockery, and death on a Roman cross. You, the author and giver of life, tasted death. You, the holy One, became sin. You, the Light of the world, experienced darkness. Yet You rose from the dead, conquering sin and darkness. You offer life, light, and immortality to all who believe in You.

Father, how can we, as Your children, love brothers and sisters from various ethnicities and cultures when we are reluctant to come together? We make assumptions about how others think and feel without taking the time to get to know them. Help us to honor and glorify You, particularly when it goes against what others believe we should do and say. We desperately need You to work in us so that we live out the unity that is ours in Christ.

I pray that You'd grant Your children great discernment, knowledge of the truth, and a desire and diligence to spend time in the Word. Help Your children to stand in Your grace and truth as we contend for the faith. May we not spend time swimming in the brackish waters of this fallen world but in the salty seas of Your holy presence.

God, manifest Your presence among us, pour out Your Spirit on us, release Your Word to us, and reveal Jesus. I don't want to just hear about revivals others have experienced. Can You use someone to ignite revival in others' hearts who also needs revival? If so, I ask You to revive me. I am deeply grateful that in Your anger, You remember to show mercy. You have not given humanity what we truly deserve. For everyone has sinned and falls short of God's glory, and the consequence of sin is death. Yet, You offer people the chance to confess their sins, repent, and return to You, as the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

There is no one like You and there is no one who has done for us what You have done for us... You are the only One worthy of our affection, love, loyalty, praise, and worship.

Lord, like Robert Robinson wrote in the classic hymn "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing", I am prone to wander without any real rhyme or reason. I keep getting involved in civilian affairs when I have been adopted in Your royal family and commissioned in Your army...
